Mission StatementThe mission of the ProBusiness Council is to study issues that affect Chamber members, formulate positions and then take action on those issues on behalf of the York business community. The ProBusiness Council enables the Chamber to respond quickly to issues and develop expertise on a wide variety of subjects. The group also increases the Chamber's visibility in the community and promotes a positive, proactive relationship with elected and appointed officials and agencies on the federal, state and local levels. The ProBusiness Council meetings generally center on those topics outlined in the ProBusiness Priorities. These Priorities are fashioned around the annual Legislative Priority Survey of Chamber members and also address other important issues as they arise. The York County business priorities correlate well with the State Chamber's priorities, and we work in conjunction with other members of the State Chamber on issues of common interest. The ProBusiness Council meets monthly. The regular meeting time for the ProBusiness Council is 7:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Members serve either two- or three-year terms with the opportunity for reappointment. The Chair of the Chamber Board, Chamber President and the Chair of the ProBusiness Council serve as spokespersons for the Chamber on government-related matters. We hope you will consider becoming a member of the ProBusiness Council. This is a great opportunity to become involved and have an impact on governmental issues facing the business community of York County. If you have any further questions or would like additional information on the Council, please contact Bob Jensenius at jensenius@yorkchamber.com. York County Chamber of Commerce |
