Winning With Diversity
In early 2003 the York County
Chamber of Commerce organized a consortium of core York
County businesses that are committed to working together to
achieve greater diversity in their workplace and called it
Winning With Diversity.
The Chamber retained Ivy Planning Group, LLC to work with
the group and develop a sustainable plan that will identify
what is working well, what needs to be improved and will
share best practices here in York and from around the
business world. Ivy already has expertise in this
marketplace having worked with Hershey Foods and consulting
with Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Company on strengthening its
diversity practices.
The Chamber's Winning With Diversity Consortium will work together to achieve the following
objectives:
- Create a diversity
strategy for the York County Business Diversity
Consortium that focuses on expanding inclusion in business opportunities,
employment, customers and suppliers;
- Increase awareness on
the topic of diversity and have Chamber members include
diversity goals within their short and long-term
business plans;

Understand and generate
a diversity business case for York County that will
leverage and include best practice examples for
recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce in York
County ;

Conduct Winning With
Diversity workshops at least quarterly. See the Chamber
