VOTE! It's Your Business
The York County Chamber of Commerce is your Voice for Business
and your source of reliable voting information for business.
We want you, our members, to learn as much as possible about
the business issues and upcoming elections that shape all of
our future. That’s why we dedicate resources to help mobilize
the informed business vote! If we can succeed in mobilizing
an informed business vote, we can create an economically
stimulating environment in which our businesses succeed. When
our businesses succeed, we have job security and job growth.
Last year, we provided you with General
Assembly candidates’ answers to our business questions. This
year, it’s the County Commissioner candidates’ turn! We’ve
drafted some pertinent questions for them to answer…
1. What will be
your #1 business priority for the next four years?
2. Do you
support the County Health Department?
3. Describe
your view of the County's role in "smart growth" - developing
where infrastructure and established development exists,
revitalizing older neighborhoods, preserving farm and open
space. Is there a leadership role for the County here in view
of land use decisions being private and local? Where does
this rank among your top priorities?
4. What impact
do you think the wellbeing of the City has on the wellbeing of
the County? What financial role should the County play?
